Akshay Kumar’s mother, Aruna Bhatia, passed away this morning (8th September) at Hiranandani Hospital in Bombay. The actor took to Twitter to share the sad news and expressed his grief. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt. Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti,” he tweeted.
Akshay, who was shooting in the UK for his new film, flew back to India on 6th September when his mother fell critically ill. On 7th, he asked (via Twitter) his fans to pray for his mother.
