Coconut Motion Pictures is remaking its own all-time Gujarati blockbuster, Chaal Jeevi Laiye!. The film was released in February 2019 and was revived in a number of cinemas of Gujarat and Saurashtra post-lockdown, after having completed silver and golden jubilee at many cinemas before the lockdown. The Yash Soni and Siddharth Randeria starrer was directed by Vipul Mehta who is also directing the Marathi remake.
Nana Patekar and Siddharth Chandekar are playing the leading roles in the Marathi remake. The first shooting schedule was completed in Pune recently. Another shooting stint will start soon in Uttarakhand. It is learnt that Coconut Motion Pictures will remake Chaal Jeevi Laiye! in Hindi and other Indian languages too.
It needs to be mentioned here that the producers have not sold the electronic rights of any film of theirs. Meanwhile, the company’s in-house digital anti-piracy wing has controlled the piracy of all its films.
