ANIL KAPOOR TWEETS APOLOGY FOR USE OF “OBJECTIONABLE” LANGUAGE BY UNIFORMED CHARACTER IN ‘AK VS AK’ | 12 December, 2020

Anil Kapoor on 9th December posted a video of apology for use of “objectionable language” by his character in Netflix’s original film, AK Vs AK, in which he (AK – Anil Kapoor) and Anurag Kashyap (AK) play themselves. Anil is cast as an IAF officer in the series. The Indian Air Force raised objections to the way he has donned the uniform in the scene which is shown in the film’s teaser released recently and also to the language he has used in the film which will stream on Netflix from December 24.

In the video of apology, Anil says that he sincerely apologised for unintentionally hurting anyone’s sentiments. Anil plays a distraught IAF officer whose daughter has been kidnapped.

Anil’s video tweet says: “It has come to my attention that the trailer of my new film “AK Vs AK” has offended some people. As I am wearing the Indian Air Force Uniform while using unparliamentary language, I would like to sincerely offer my humble apologies for unintentionally hurting sentiments. I have always had the utmost respect and gratitude for the selfless service of all our defence personnel.”
