ARTISTE FILES HC PLEA AGAINST SENIOR ACTORS NOT BEING ALLOWED TO SHOOT | 17 July, 2020

Actor Pramod Pandey has filed a petition in the Bombay high court against the clause of the Maharashtra government-approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which does not permit actors above 65 years of age to participate in shootings for fear that they might contract the coronavirus. In his petition, he has said that his livelihood depended on acting and that the said rule was not based on facts. He also emphasised that persons above 65, “including topmost authorities in India on the administrative side, had been functioning regularly”.
