ARYAN KHAN GETS BAIL | 28 October, 2021

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, was finally granted bail by the Bombay high court today (October 28). The arguments in the bail application made by Aryan’s lawyers, was being heard since last week. Mukul Rohatgi, former attorney general of India, was representing Aryan who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 in what has now come to be known as drugs-on-cruise case.

Although no drugs were found in Aryan’s possession, he was arrested alongwith seven others. At first, he was sent to the custody of the NCB but the Esplanade court on October 7 then sent him to judicial custody. His bail applications were rejected on October 14 and again on October 20 when his lawyers preferred an appeal in the high court.

Aryan Khan, his friend, Arbaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and four others were held on October 2 as soon as the cruise set sail from Bombay for Goa as, according to the NCB, it had information that a rave party was scheduled to take place on board the cruise. After interrogation, they were arrested on October 3.

Aryan, Arbaz and Munmun are likely to be set free tomorrow (October 29) when the detailed order of the single judge bench of Justice Nitin Sambre will be delivered by the high court.
