The heat that Gadar 2 has generated at the box-office is acting like oxygen for the trade. It is now proved beyond doubt that the audience is ready to return to the cinemas in hordes provided they are served fare of the kind on which they don’t mind spending money.
Manoj Desai, executive director in G7 (Gaiety-Galaxy) multiplex of Bombay, has an interesting observation to share with the film trade people. At his G7 multiplex today (August 13), the first show at Gaiety, where Gadar 2 is being screened, was house full. So was the first show of Galaxy which screened OMG 2. In Gemini, Rajini The Jailer (dubbed) drew a full house. In Glamour, it was again Gadar 2 which saw the hall full. Marathi film Baipan Bhari Deva drew a full house at Gem. And Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani recorded house full collections at Gossip.
