AVINASH DAS SEEKS TRANSIT PRE-ARREST BAIL | 22 May, 2022

Filmmaker Avinash Das, who was recently booked for allegedly insulting the Indian flag, approached the Bombay high court on May 20 for transit pre-arrest bail as the crime is registered in Ahmedabad. The plea is likely to be heard on May 24.

Das fears that the police may call him and ask him to surrender in Ahmedabad or may visit his home in Bombay and arrest him. The FIR against Avinash Das alleged that he had shared a picture of Union home minister Amit Shah with a Jharkhand cadre IAS officer who was recently arrested in a money laundering case, and that he had shared the morphed picture of a woman wearing the Indian tricolour.
