‘BADHAI HO BETI HUEE HAI’ REVIEW | 11 November, 2022

Sanatan World Project Pvt. Ltd.’s Badhai Ho Beti Huee Hai (UA) is the story about a girl child. The film is about the journey of a girl who was rejected by her family and the society on her birth itself. The new-born and her mother are disowned by the family at the time of the girl’s birth. The mother raises her daughter and ultimately makes her an IAS officer. The same girl, who was shunned by her family and the society at large, ultimately turns out to be a boon for the family and the society.

Yamini Swami has penned a story which propagates the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign of the Narendra Modi government. In the guise of a story, the drama offers precious little to the viewers. The screenplay is clichéd and boring. Nothing in the screenplay creates an impact on the audience as the entire drama is very predictable and also half-baked. Emotions absolutely fail to touch the heart. Even the dialogues are devoid of punch.

Yamini Swami does an ordinary job. Jaya Prada is average. Aryaman Seth passes muster. Anupam Shyam is okay. Peeyush Suhaney, Arman Tahil, Kamaal Malik, Garima Agarwal, Hariom Parashar, Rajesh Khanna, Rena Sahay, Jayant Mishra and Dilip Sen lend routine support.

Yamini Swami’s direction is weak. The narration, like the script, fails to involve the viewers. Music (Amit S. Trivedi and Dilip Tahir) is below the mark. Lyrics are commonplace. Song picturisations (Sandip Soparkar and Raju Khan) are average. B. Satish’s camerawork hardly stands out. Prince Mishra’s action and stunt scenes are more functional than anything else. Rajesh Sharma’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.

On the whole, Badhai Ho Beti Huee Hai is a flop fare.

Released on 11-11-’22 at Inox Malad (daily 1 show) of Bombay thru VK Films. Publicity & opening: terribly poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was disastrous everywhere.
