BANGALORE CCB RAIDS VIVEK OBEROI’S HOUSE IN SEARCH OF ACCUSED BROTHER-IN-LAW | 15 October, 2020

The Bangalore Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided the Bombay residence of Vivek Oberoi in search of Aditya Alva, his brother-in-law who is one of the key accused in the Sandalwood drug case. Aditya is the son of late minister Jeevaraj Alva. Besides Aditya Alva, 11 others are accused in the Sandalwood drug scandal being investigated by the CCB. Aditya has been absconding since the police probe started. The police received a tip-off that he may be hiding in Vivek’s home. The police, therefore, obtained a court warrant, and the CCB team went to his house in Bombay.

Last month, the CCB had raided Aditya’s residence in Bangalore. Earlier, it had issued a lookout notice against him. The police have so far arrested Kannada film actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani in connection with the case. They were both remanded to judicial custody.
