Celebrated Rajasthani film producer Bharat Nahta, whose Bai Chali Sasariye, more than 25 years after it was made, still holds the record for being the biggest blockbuster of Rajasthani cinema, has been nominated by the Rajasthan government on the governing body of the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) Society, Jaipur. It is for the first time that a film producer has been nominated as a member of the prestigious body. The governing body consists of four Padma Shri awardees and 19 other people associated with the world of art.
