Bhojpuri film actress Amrita Pandey was found dead in her home in Bhagalpur (Bihar) on April 27 under mysterious circumstances. The police has not ruled out suicide. According to her family, she was worried about her career as she wasn’t getting enough work. She was also suffering from depression, it is learnt. A cryptic note on her WhatsApp status a few hours before her death could be telling. The status read: Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasan kar diya. (He was sailing in two boats, I made his journey easy by sinking my own boat.)
In 2022, Amrita had married Bombay-based Chandramani Jhangad who hails from Bilaspur. She was last seen in Pratishodh web series. She was Khesari Lal Yadav’s leading lady in Bhojpuri film Deewanapan.
