BJP DEMANDS ERSTWHILE PUNJABI FILM ACTOR YOGRAJ SINGH’S ARREST FOR COMMUNAL, ANTI-WOMEN SPEECH | 7 December, 2020

The Punjab BJP on 6th December demanded that a criminal case be registered against former cricketer and Punjabi film actor Yograj Singh for allegedly making derogatory remarks against women and inciting communal hatred in his speech at the Singhu border during the farmers’ protest. Singh’s speech went viral and he was also trolled on Twitter.

Punjab BJP general secretary Subhash Sharma said that the comments made by Yograj Singh, who is cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father, demeaned womanhood in its entirety. He demanded that Singh should be arrested immediately as he had behaved “like a street rogue” while addressing farmers.
