BMC NOTICE: HC RELIEF FOR KANGANA RANAUT | 3 February, 2021

The Bombay high court yesterday (February 2) gave Kangana Ranaut two days’ relief against civic demolition action. The actress had appealed before the HC against dismissal by a city civil court of her plea for interim protection after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued her a notice alleging unauthorised alterations and merger of three flats at Khar in Bombay.

The HC bench suggested that she can still apply for regularisation. Her counsel sought time to seek instructions from her after the BMC counsel submitted that she cannot continue with the challenge of its notice, in court and also seek regularisation. The BMC counsel told the court, Kangana must accept the notice and withdraw the suit and then apply.
