Laxmichand is survived by his wife. The couple did not have children. Both the brothers represented the second generation of the Shah family in the business started by their late father, Tilakbhai Shah. Tilak Enterprise controlled all cinemas of the Rajhans group and some others too, all in Bombay circuit. They had earlier distributed films in Bombay circuit. Among the films released by them were Gadar – Ek Prem Katha. They had released many films in Gujarat and/or Saurashtra too.
Like elder brother Hemant, Laxmichand was also very soft-spoken. The bonding and understanding between Hemantbhai and Laxmichandbhai were phenomenal.
