The Bombay police have initiated the process for the extradition of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, a suspect in the killing of politician Baba Siddique last month in Bombay and the April 14 firing at actor Salman Khan’s house at Bandra in Bombay. Anmol, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is facing 18 criminal cases and is suspected to be holed up in Canada.
The National Investigation Agency recently announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh for Anmol’s arrest. In April, Anmol posted on Facebook that he was responsible for the firing at Salman’s residence. Anmol was shown as an absconding accused in the firing incident as well as a conspiracy to kill the actor at his Panvel farmhouse in a case registered by the Navi Mumbai police. Anmol also allegedly provided weapons and logistics support to the accused who killed singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, 2022.
The police also said, they are trying for the custodial interrogation of Lawrence Bishnoi who is lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.
