The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) interrogated Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik, for 10 hours on 28th August in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The questioning also pertained to the joint business enterprise of the deceased with the Chakrabortys. Rhea, her family members and some others have been accused of abetting the actor’s suicide. On the previous day, the Enforcement Directorate, investigating financial irregularities, examined Rhea’s locker. The ED officials were accompanied to the bank by Rhea’s father. They found jewellery in the locker. Most of it was properly accounted for.
Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Sachin Sawant yesterday demanded that producer Sandeep Singh’s links with the BJP be investigated. Sandeep had claimed that he was a very close friend of the actor and he was among the first to reach the home of Sushant after news of his death surfaced.
