Elections to the Central Circuit Cine Association for 2023-25 will be held tomorrow (23rd September) in Indore. It will be preceded by the annual general meeting.
The following are the candidates who have filed their nominations for the elections:
C.P. Berar Distributors Section: Since there are only three candidates and a like number of seats in this section, all the three will be declared elected unopposed. The three are Lokendra Jain, Sharang Chandak and Vinod Bhandari.
C.P. Berar Exhibitors Section: There are five candidates in the fray for three seats. They are Azad Laddha, Naresh Chowdhary, Prakalp Rathi, Sanjay Surana and Virendra Lunkad.
Chhattisgarh Distributors Section: Dilip Lunia and Ramgopal Kumawat will battle it out for the single seat in this section.
Chhattisgarh Exhibitors Section: Since Shantilal Lunkad is the sole candidate in this section, there will be no election.
C.I. Distributors Section: A total of five members are fighting it out for two seats. They are Basant Kumar Laddha, Girdharilal Agrawal, Prabhakar Ksheersagar, Sandeep Jain and Sanjay Kachchwah.
C.I. Exhibitors Section: Like in the C.I. Distributors Section, there will be five candidates in the fray for two seats in this section too. The names of the candidates are Adarsh Yadav, Aditya Chowksey, Anand Yadav, O.P. Goyal and Rajesh Karosiya.
Rajasthan Distributors Section: Basudev Chachan, Chandrashekhar Choudhary, Kishore Kala, Mahaveer Jain, Mohanlal Godha, Nandkishore Jalani, Rakesh Sabharwal, Rameshchand Sharma, Sandeep Bhandari and Satyavan Pareek have filed their nominations in this section which has two seats.
Rajasthan Exhibitors Section: Kailashchand Sharma, Nandkishore Jalani, R.K. Shara and Satyavan Pareek will battle it out in this section which has two seats earmarked.
There is basically only the Aditya Chowksey panel which is fielding candidates in all the sections. In Rajasthan, Satyavan Pareek has formed an opposition of sorts. Mohanlal Godha and Kishore Kala in the Rajasthan Distributors Section are contesting from the Satyavan Pareek panel. In the Rajasthan Exhibitors Section, Satyavan Pareek’s panel is fielding Nand Kishore Jalani and Satyavan Pareek himself.
While the above list of candidates in the fray is exhaustive, there is a possibility that there may be withdrawals at the last moment.
