Telugu film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari was revived last week in Nizam and Telangana, and the reaction of the public in the cinema halls is to be seen to be believed! The audience are cheering for their favourite hero and heroine so loudly that it is difficult to sometimes understand what’s going on on the screen!
The Chiranjeevi-Sridevi starrer has been released after 35 years! It was first released in 1990. The K. Raghavendra Rao directorial venture had proven a huge hit back then also. What’s that they say about old being gold?!
While on the film, it must be added here that producer Ashwini Dutt left no stone unturned to promote the film’s revival. Special videos featuring popular star Nani were released prior to the film’s release on 9th May. Nani reveals interesting inside stories in the videos. There’s also talk of a sequel to the 1990 film. Speculation is that the sequel will star Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan, with Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor.
