Cinemas in Pune district will be allowed to function at cent per cent capacity, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar announced on 27th November. The cinemas will have to strictly follow all COVID protocols but after doing so, they can operate at full capacity with effect from 1st December. Currently, cinemas in the whole of Maharashtra state are operating at 50% capacity.
Later the same day, the state issued orders restricting the attendance in cinemas and other enclosed spaces to 50% in view of the new variant of the Coronavirus.
