The police summoned Sanjana Sanghi, debut-making heroine of Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Dil Bechara, for questioning earlier this week. During interrogation, Sanjana denied that she had accused Sushant of sexual harassment in 2018 when the #MeToo movement had gained ground in Bollywood. Sanjana had come from Delhi for the investigation into Sushant’s suicide. The actor ended his life at his Bandra (Bombay) flat on 14th June.
While returning to her home in Delhi, Sanjana posted a message on Instagram which left her followers confused about her return to films. She ended her post with the sentences: “Milte hain? Jaldi. Ya shayad, nahi.” (“See you. Soon. Or maybe, not.”)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also summoned for questioning in the suicide case earlier this week. His interrogation was necessitated because there were media reports that the filmmaker had offered Sushant films but things did not work out between them.
