COPYRIGHT CASE AGAINST ‘CHHAPAAK’ MAKERS | 4 January, 2020

Rakesh Bharti, who claims to be the rights holder of the story of acid attack victim Laxmi Agarwal, has sued the makers of Chhapaak for infringing his copyright. He has alleged that they had made Chhapaak based on the same victim’s story, which was in violation of his copyright. The defendants in the case are Fox Star Studios, Ka Production LLP, Mriga Films LLP, Anisha Prakash Padukone, Deepika Padukone, Govind Singh Sandhu, Meghna Gulzar, Atika Chohan, Parth Arora and Rukmini Sen.

Rakesh Bharti and his advocate will address a press conference this evening (4th January) at Raheja Classique Club at Andheri in Bombay.
