A special trial court recently allowed Sooraj Pancholi to travel to Dubai for two weeks for an actor’s training workshop. The CBI opposed the actor’s plea as he is accused of abetting the 2013 suicide of his girlfriend, actress Jiah Khan. The court said, “From the reply of the prosecution, it does not reflect that after registration of crime and after bail order, the applicant ever violated or breached any conditions imposed on him. There is no adverse instance brought on record by the prosecution that did not entitle the accused permission to travel abroad.”
