A special NDPS court on July 13 directed the court registrar to return the passport of Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan. Aryan had moved the court last month after he was dropped as an accused in the cruise drugs bust case. He sought the return of his passport which had been deposited before the court once he was granted bail in October-end last year, after a month-long stay in jail.
The Narcotics Control Bureau had given its nod to the return of the passport as no complaint was filed against Aryan and five others because no material evidence connecting them to the case had surfaced during investigations. The NCB also said that Aryan was not an accused in the case and no investigations were pending against him. The chargesheet in the case had been filed on May 27 this year. The arrests had been made in early October last year.
