Kangana Ranaut’s plea for transfer of her counter complaint against veteran Javed Akhtar, for the alleged offence of extortion and insult to her modesty, to another magistrate was rejected by the Esplanade (Bombay) court on December 18. The same court had earlier held that the Andheri (Bombay) metropolitan magistrate was not biased in his approach.
The actress had yesterday (December 18) moved the Dindoshi (Bombay) sessions court to challenge the Esplanade court’s order rejecting her plea for transfer of Javed Akhtar’s defamation complaint against her to another court. Citing bias, Kangana had earlier said that she had lost faith in the Andheri metropolitan magistrate court which was hearing the defamation case.
