CUSTODY OF KANNADA FILM ACTRESSES EXTENDED | 12 September, 2020

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on 11th September obtained custody of Kannada film actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani along with four others for three more days, till 14th September. The accused were produced before the first additional chief metropolitan magistrate in Bangalore through video conferencing as the CCB sought five more days of police custody.

Meanwhile, the CCB arrested Prateek Shetty, an alleged drug peddler who had been arrested by the police in 2018. Shetty allegedly had contacts with the accused arrested by the CCB, and supplied drugs to them for their high-level parties. The CCB also arrested Aditya Agarwal, another alleged peddler. The CCB also summoned producer Prashanth Sambargi to appear before it for questioning. Sambargi had earlier accused Sanjana of having links with the drug mafia, before the CCB arrested her.
