Actor-filmmaker Deepak Tijori recently filed a complaint with the Amboli police in Bombay, alleging that he was duped of Rs. 2.60 crore by a producer who joined him to co-produce a thriller film. An FIR was registered on March 15 against Mohan Nadaar who was the co-producer, on the basis of a complaint filed by Tijori 10 days earlier, after he did not receive money from Nadaar who siphoned off Rs. 4.60 crore in September 2019 on the pretext that he wanted it for the shooting location in London.
The co-production agreement was signed by Tijori and Nadaar in 2019 for a film titled Tipsy. Deepak alleged that Mohan did not return the money as the cheque issued to him (Deepak Tijori) bounced repeatedly. Investigations are on. No arrest has been made so far.
