DEEPIKA, SHRADDHA, SARA RECEIVE NCB SUMMONS | 24 September, 2020

Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau for interrogation in the drugs case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB is trying to probe whether there is a Bollywood-drugs mafia nexus. While Deepika has been asked to be present on 25th September, Shraddha and Sara have been called on 26th.

Meanwhile, several lawyers have expressed surprise that top heroines are being summoned by the NCB on the basis of WhatsApp chats, which is not deemed primary evidence. Possession of drugs is counted as primary evidence in court of law but no such evidence has been found on the person of any of the leading ladies summoned.
