The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Rhea Chakraborty tomorrow (7th August) for questioning about two major property investments by her in Bombay. The ED’s summons to her chartered accountant to appear before it on 5th August went unattended. Before that, the ED recorded statements of Sushant Singh Rajput’s chartered accountant on 3rd August and sought all details of Sushant’s bank accounts and investments. The CA had earlier in press interviews claimed that he did not find any big balance or money transfers from Sushant’s account, as alleged by his father, K.K. Singh. It may be recalled that the actor’s father had alleged that Rs. 15 crore had been transferred from Sushant’s bank accounts. The ED then registered a money-laundering investigation against Rhea, her family members and six others, based on the FIR registered by K.K. Singh in Patna. The FIR accuses Rhea, her family members and six others of abetment to suicide, cheating, theft and wrongful confinement.
According to sources, the Enforcement Directorate has established two major financial trails in which Rhea was found to have invested money in properties.
