Cinema owner Shamrao Patil passed away on 6th August due to old age at his village near Akluj in Maharashtra. He was 88 and passed away peacefully. He is survived by his wife, two sons — Dr. Sunil and Prakash — and three daughters.
Shamrao Patil had built Shriram Talkies at Akluj. Both his sons are now looking after the cinema at Akluj and another at Temburni. The exhibitor was a well-known philanthropist too.
