An FIR under IPC section 354 (A), 509 and 34 was registered on June 19 against Asit Modi, producer of the very popular TV serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, for sexual and mental harassment of actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal. The FIR also named executive producer Jatin Bajaj and operations head Sohil Ramani as co-accused.
Jennifer had made a complaint a month back, citing mental and sexual harassment at the work place. All the three accused have refuted the allegations and termed them baseless.
