FARMERS SAY, KANGANA APOLOGISED; ACTRESS DENIES | 5 December, 2021

Protesting farmers, including women, stopped Kangana Ranaut’s car on 3rd December in Ropar district of Punjab while she was on her way from Kullu (in Himachal Pradesh) to Chandigarh airport. They did not allow her car to move despite her Y-category security and the presence of police force which was called in to save the situation. The farmers told the actress, they would not allow her to go ahead if she did not apologise for her anti-farmer remarks on social media. Kangana last year referred to an old woman, protesting against the Central Farm Bills, as a woman available for Rs. 100 for protests. She also later referred to the protesting farmers as “Khalistani terrorists”.

While the farmers claimed that Kangana was allowed to proceed to Chandigarh only after she apologised to the farmers, the actress denied that she said “sorry” to them.
