Film director Avinash Das was detained by a team of the Gujarat police today (19th July) afternoon outside his residence in Bombay. The detention was in connection with a case in which he shared a picture on social media of home minister Amit Shah with arrested IAS officer Pooja Singhal. Although the photograph was quite old, he allegedly made it appear as being very recent.
Das was taken to Ahmedabad for further action, it is learnt.
