Director Rajat Mukherjee passed away yesterday (18th July) in Jaipur due to kidney failure and infection in the lungs. He was in his sixties. He had directed Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Road, Love In Nepal (starring Sonu Nigam) and Umeed. He had also directed a TV serial, Ishq Kills.
Rajat had gone to his home town, Jaipur, once the lockdown was announced. He had kidney problems in April, for which he was hospitalised. He had been discharged from hospital in May and had to undergo dialysis thereafter. The end came last night.
