Fire broke out on the set of TV serial Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein at Film City in Bombay on March 10 around 4.30 p.m. It soon spread to three other studios where shooting was in progress. No one was injured. The fire was extinguished at 10.17 p.m. The cause of the level III fire is not known.
The blaze gutted electric wiring, installations, bamboo, tarpaulin sheets, wooden articles and dried trees, leaves, shrubs and grass in an area spread over 50,000 metres. More than 1,000 people were present on the sets which caught fire.
