Orangepixel Studios, Visica Films, Humara Medialabs and Causality Films’ Follower (Marathi; UA) is the story of a small-time journalist (Raghu Prakash) who is so committed to his cause of posting inflammatory and dubious content on the online media outlet he works for that he doesn’t mind his meagre salary. He soon meets with tragic consequences.
Harshad Nalawade’s story and screenplay are so class-appealing that masses will get bored. The drama often becomes too elitist in nature. Harshad Nalawade’s dialogues are dull.
Raghu Prakash is fair. Donna Munshi does an average job. Harshad Nalawade lends routine support.
Harshad Nalawade’s direction has precious little for the masses. Pranjal Gupta and Abhigyan Arora’s background music is not very impactful. Saket Gyani’s camerawork is okay. Maulik Sharma’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Follower will hardly have any followers at the turnstiles. Flop.
Released on 21-3-’25 at Movie Time Goregaon (daily 1 show) of Bombay by Visica Films. Publicity & opening: weak.
