The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Calcutta, will hold the long-delayed joint entrance test for 2021 on December 18 and 19, 2021. Registrations for the same, being organised by SRFTI this year, will close on December 2.
According to an agreement between the two schools, each of them organises and runs the test over a two-year cycle. FTII will organise the test from next year onwards.
The joint entrance test is usually held in February every year, but it was delayed this year due to the onset of the second wave of COVID-19. The test for next year may also have to be delayed beyond February 2022. Modalities for the same have still to be decided. Currently, there are only a limited number of accommodations available on campus. Hence the FTII has communicated to its students a staggered schedule for them to return to the campus for in-person classes and practical sessions.
