Ganesh Divekar was unanimously elected president of the Association of Voice Artistes at the first meeting of its newly elected managing committee held today (30th March). Pawan Kalra was elected vice president. Amarinder Singh Sodhi was elected hon. secretary while Shahul Hameed, hon. treasurer. Ajit Mishra and Pratibha Tiku Sharma were elected jt. secretaries, and Lalit Agarwal, jt. treasurer.
Earlier, the following other members were elected to the managing committee, besides the aforementioned, Â at its 12th annual general meeting held on 27th March at Country Club, Andheri West, Bombay: Aranya Kaur, Laila Panda, Salil Oza, Vinod Kulkarni, Anil Dutt, Meena Nahta, Devashish Ghosh, Neshma Chemburkar, Keka Ghoshal and Monuj Borkotoky.
The annual general meeting was followed by dinner. The AVA has completed 25 years.
