A garden near Palimala Road at Bandra in Bombay was named after santoor legend and well-known music director Shivkumar Sharma (of Shiv-Hari) on 13th January. Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, lyricist Javed Akhtar, santoor player Rahul Sharma (Shivkumar Sharma’s son) and his family, local MLA Ashish Shelar and others were present on the occasion which also marked the 86th birth anniversary of the santoor maestro.
Rahul Sharma thanked Shelar and the BMC for honouring his father by dedicating a garden to his memory.
