‘GHAZNAVI’ REVIEW | 3 March, 2023

Dattson Film And Entertainment, Sanoj Mishra Films and TBR Films’ Ghaznavi (A) is the story of a man who has a loss of memory.

Sanoj Mishra has written such a half-baked story and screenplay that they fail to sustain the audience’s interest. The characters in the drama are so typical that nothing really impresses. Even Sanoj Mishra’s dialogues are dull.

Rajveer Singh is no hero material. Heramb Tripathi does an ordinary job. Tanya Mishra just about passes muster. Aditya P. Roy lends routine support. Others are dull.

Sanoj Mishra’s direction is weak. Music (Afsar-Nadeem and Santosh Tiwari) and lyrics (Sanoj Mishra and Salim Ilahi Idrisi) are functional. Nirmal Kumar’s choreography hardly adds to the musical experience. An ordinary background score doesn’t help uplift the drama either. Camerawork (Rajesh Mishra, Chandrika Gupta, Rahul Tiwari, Md. Ibrahim and Abhay) is dull. Shahabuddin’s action and stunt scenes reek of routineness. Bhupesh Salaskar’s art direction is commonplace. Yogesh Pandey’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Ghaznavi is a poor show all the way.

Released on 3-3-’23 at Premiere Gold (daily 2 shows) and other cinemas of Bombay by Dattson Film And Entertainment. Publicity & opening: weak. …….Also released all over.
