Filmmaker Girish Malik’s (seen in picture) 18-year-old son killed himself on 18th March by jumping off the fifth floor of his house at Oberoi Springs building at Andheri in Bombay. Mannan Malik was allegedly chided by his father for drinking too much alcohol and for misbehaving with his mother. He took the extreme step soon after when his parents were not in his room.
Reportedly, Mannan consumed alcohol while celebrating Holi on 18th, and continued to drink at home too. His father asked him to stop drinking when he had had too much and also scolded him for misbehaving with his own mother. The 18-year-old leapt out of the balcony of his flat after that. Her was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
The Amboli (Andheri, Bombay) police have registered an accidental death case.
