‘GOOLE AAI’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 26 July, 2024

Dollar’s Media And Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.’s Google Aai (Marathi; UA) is a story about how technology can be used fruitfully.

Govind (Pranav Raorane) is a writer-director waiting for a break. However, he finds himself in the hands of terrorists even as he is struggling to find a producer — in a new state where language and communication are a problem for him. His little daughter uses Google to save him and his family.

Govind Varaha has written an unusual story but which has limited appeal only. His screenplay is engaging but just in parts. Amit Bendre’s dialogues are ordinary.

Pranav Raorane does fairly well as Govind. Prajakta Gaikwad is alright as Govind’s wife, Kalyani. Saee Rewadikar is quite good as Govind and Kalyani’s daughter, Likhita. Ashwini Kulkarni lends average support. Madhav Abhayankar makes his mark. Others do as required.

Govind Varaha’s direction is average. S. Sagar’s music is functional. Kartik’s background music is impactful. Kishan Sagar’s camerawork is appealing. Editing (Rishiraj Joshi and Shiva Sarvana) is quite sharp.

On the whole, Google Aai does not stand much of a chance at the ticket windows and could end up facing rejection.

Released on 26-7-’24 at Glamour (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor.
