GotChosen, an American tech start-up that enables websites and influencers monetise their social media content through its unique platform, launched its app in Bombay at Hotel JW Marriott, Juhu yesterday (18th August) at the hands of actress Nupur Sanon. GotChosen offers the social media monetisation platform to the influencers’ community through an app on which the influencers will get paid directly from the platform’s advertisers. The users’ experience, however, remains unhindered in the entire process.
This is the first social media network which will pay all its influencers through advertising shown in the app, without making a sale or an announcement in the creators’ posts. In short, the users’ experience will not be compromised with while the influencers will still make their money. It is founded by Brazilian entrepreneur Oz Silva. Four salient features of GotChosen are that it is inclusive, transparent, generous and effective. To make every content on its platform monetisable, GotChosen has also introduced a sophisticated programmatic advertising technology that optimises real-time bidding with thousands of global brands, and provides the influencers private placement opportunity to help monetise. It is also in the process of creating an innovative marketplace and metaversa monetisation products that will disrupt the way content creators and their audiences interact with brands.
While on other social media platforms, advertising by companies is visible to every user, which, therefore, restricts monetisation for the influencers, the advertisements on the GotChosen App are inserted in a very small strip above the post. This unique feature does away with the influencers having to get into direct agreements with brands to earn money. So, it is the influencer who monetises the visits of his/her audience. The three-point monetisation program includes ADS program, the Affiliate Program and the Wallet Program.
In the ADS Program, short videos are monetised by the influencers. In the Affiliate Program, the influencers share the product and brand links of GotChosen’s partners virtually everywhere and get paid on each click. In the GotChosen Wallet Program, the influencers register on the app, create content, view content, share their own content and invite friends and influencers to the app. They monetise content while having fun on social media.
The micro influencers can begin their monetisation process with 10,000 followers and then expand monetisation by leveraging their follower base on the app to other social media platforms. The payments by GotChosen are made on a monthly basis. The app also has a Competition Area, where top ten rankings are monetised in three categories — GotCoins Earned, Viewing Time and Engaged Posts. It also has a feature of Hashtag Contest, wherein the influencers earn a crown full of money, on a weekly basis. Then there is Sweepstakes, in which coupons earned offer a chance to win dollars.
