Vibhu Agarwal, Suraksh Entertainment Media and Crazy Moi Production’s Graduate With First Class (A) is the story of an orphan who offers sex services.
Amit (Pranjal Sharma) is an orphan who lives with his widowed aunt, Suman (Kajal Agarwal). His life turns upside down when he meets Maya (Ankita Bhattacharya) who sexually exploits him. She also introduces him to a social circle of women craving companionship and fun. So Amit starts rendering sex services and makes money from the same. But there’s one lady, Niharika (Tanya Desai), who genuinely falls in love with Amit. This authentic relationship between Amit and Niharika sparks jealousy in Maya. Amit is now in a fix, caught between Niharika’s true love and the allure of Maya’s influential friends. What does he choose?
Raunak Singh has written a story with the main purpose of showing the sexual escapades of Amit with different women. There’s precious little else, other than this, in the drama. Raunak Singh’s screenplay is predictable and uni-dimensional. It caters to the baser instincts of humans but even that is done in a style which lacks class. Raunak Singh’s dialogues are dull.
Pranjal Sharma gives a weak performance as Amit. Ankita Bhattacharya is ordinary in the role of Maya. Tanya Desai comes up with a routine show of talent as Niharika. Kajal Agarwal is so-so as Amit’s aunt, Suman. Rajgopal Iyer lends ordinary support as Maya’s husband. Muskaan Agarwal (as Soniya) and Ayushi Bhowmick (as Preeti) pass muster in brief roles.
Rafat Abbas’ direction is dull. Pranav’s music is nothing to shout about. His background score is ordinary. Saurabh Soni’s lyrics hardly deserve separate mention. Abhishek Shukla’s cinematography is functional. Rakesh Yadav’s art direction is okay. Prakash Jha and Dipak Mahato’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole, Graduate With First Class lacks class and will, therefore, be a non-starter.
