Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel on October 11 outlined the film policy of Gujarat state, in the presence of film personalities and Vineet Jain, managing director of the Times Group, which organised the Filmfare Roundtable in Bombay where the CM made the announcement. The CM said that besides film-friendly infrastructure, the state government had established an ecosystem for film production, which included practical on-ground assistance such as online application process and investor facilitation desks.
Patel also announced that the Filmfare Awards function next year would be held in Gujarat.
