The Bombay high court on June 6 recalled an ex parte stay on the release of Hamare Baarah today (June 7) after its producers said, the stay would cause them huge financial losses. The court directed a three-member panel to view the controversial film. The panel will include a member of the Muslim community.
The court has asked the panel to give its comments on the theme of the film and more particularly on averments in the petition only.
Justices Kamal Khata and Rajesh Patil will hear the matter at 9 a.m. today (June 7). The first show of the film is scheduled at 10 a.m.
The petition, filed by Azhar Tamboli, claims that the film portrays the Muslim community in bad light.
