C.I. distributor-exhibitor Hastimal Thakuria passed away on 5th February in Bombay. He was 97 years old and is survived by his wife, a daughter and her family. Uthavna was held on 8th in Bombay. He was the owner of Regal Talkies, Indore.
Hastimal Thakuria had served as the vice president of the Central Circuit Cine Association for a number of years. He was lovingly and respectfully called as ‘Dada’ by people in the trade. Compassionate by nature, he loved to help people in need.
