Singer Honey Singh and his estranged wife, Sheetal Talwar, are now set to be formally divorced. Sheetal had applied for divorce last year. She had accused her husband of more than a decade, of domestic violence and cheating in marriage. She said, Honey and his family used to torture her physically, mentally, verbally and emotionally. She also said, he had casual sex with different women.
Although the case was filed in the Saket district court, Delhi, the settlement between the warring couple took place recently out of court. The Saket court granted accepted their settlement terms. Honey gave Sheetal a cheque of Rs. 1 crore as interim settlement. The final divorce may be granted in March 2023. After the out-of-court settlement, the two applied for mutual consent divorce.
