KANGANA SLAP ROW: VISHAL DADLANI OFFERS JOB TO CISF CONSTABLE | 8 June, 2024

Music director and singer Vishal Dadlani has offered his support to CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur who allegedly slapped actress-MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport on June 6. Dadlani shared a note on his Instagram story, volunteering to help Kaur if she faced any consequences for her action.

Kulwinder Kaur is said to have slapped the actress when she was heading to the flight boarding area after a security check. In response, Vishal Dadlani posted, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need for this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her, should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”

Following the slapping incident, Kaur was reportedly detained and suspended after Kangana filed a complaint with CISF officials on reaching the Indira Gandhi airport in Delhi from Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, an old Twitter post of Kangana defending Hollywood actor Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock has resurfaced to haunt her amidst the slap row. Smith had slapped the comedian on stage at the 94th Academy Awards in March 2022 in response to a joke Rock made about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. At that time, Kangana had said, “If some idiot used my mom or sister’s illness to make bunch of fools laugh, I would slap him like @willsmith did… bad ass move… hope he comes to my #lockup.” (Kangana used to host TV show Lock Upp then.)

Many are wondering how the actress could defend physical violence on the one hand while condemning it on the other hand when someone abused her physically. Incidentally, Kangana’s slapping incident was also because she had commented on women (mothers, wives and sisters of farmers). The CISF constable, Kaur, was angry with Kangana as she had said during the farmers’ protest in Delhi during the COVID-19 lockdown that the women who were seen protesting were those hired on payment of Rs. 100 each. Kulwinder Kaur is reported to have told the actress before slapping her that her (Kaur’s) mother was a part of the protest and she was not paid any money but was genuinely supporting the farmers.

After the incident, a shaken Kangana commented that she was shocked at the growing terrorism in Punjab. Terrorism? The actress’ outrageous comment was actually tantamount to saying that the CISF employed terrorists!
