Kannada film director and actor Guruprasad was found dead in his flat in Bangalore’s Dasanapura locality on the morning of November 3. Police suspect, he committed suicide on October 28 owing to financial troubles. He was found hanging in the hall. No suicide note was found.
Guruprasad’s wife told the police that the actor-filmmaker had sent her and their three-year-old daughter to her parental house a few months back. They last met in May and were in contact on telephone. She said, she last tried to contact him on October 25. She assumed that he was busy and hence did not answer her calls.
The wife added that Guruprasad had huge loans to repay and that she did not suspect foul play.
