NY Cinemas Heer opened today (9th June) in Kanpur where once stood Heer Palace. The multiplex has three auditoria. The first auditorium has 261 seats while the second and third have 248 and 187 seats respectively.
Heer Palace, one of the oldest cinemas of Kanpur, was built in 1966 and is situated on Mall Road. The newly furbished NY Cinemas Heer is split into two levels, with refreshment booths on both the levels. It is equipped with 3D screens (in two of the three auditoria), plush seats and Dolby Atmos surround sound system (in one auditorium).
NY Cinemas, named after owner Ajay Devgan’s kids, Nysa and Yug, has presence in 11 cities. Kanpur is the fifth city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, which has NY Cinemas.
